SÄKAPHEN Lining of Process Vessels, Storage Tanks and Silos Lined on Site
Heat Cured and Cold Cured Lining Solutions
SÄKAPHEN offers lining and coating services for a wide range of Process Vessels, Storage Tanks and Silos, from the protection of newly fabricated items to the refurbishment of old or redundant plants. Whenever possible, we can perform the necessary coating and lining operations directly onsite, no matter how complex the task is.
Partnering with SÄKAPHEN ensures a proven workflow is followed for maximum effectiveness and safety. First, a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of operational conditions enables us to recommend the most suitable lining for your process or storage needs. This then leads to agreeing on a suitable time frame for work execution. If needed, we can recommend a primary approved applicator to fulfil your requirements. Supervision or inspection services can also be offered, independently or in partnership with the applicator or end user, all carried out by fully trained, certified personnel.
The operational process begins with cleaning an grit blasting the surfaces to be treated, also to remove any old coating layers. The lining product is then applied in multiple coats until the required dry film thickness (DFT) is achieved. With baked coatings, this also entails heat-curing phases between coats to partly polymerize the coating or lining. Once the target DFT is reached, the lining is subjected to rigorous quality controls, including holiday or spark testing depending on the DFT to identify defects. If any are found and in case a heat-cured coating or lining has been applied the defects are eliminated before the final heat-curing phase and the completion of the lining process, including the production of the required documentation.
As well as Single-Product Storage Tanks, SÄKAPHEN can also externally and internally coat Condensate Tanks where operational temperatures exceed 110°C/230°F, above-ground and below-ground Storage and Waste Tanks, Powder Discharge Vessels and Silos for Polyethylene (PE) or Polypropylene (PP), Water Towers and Absorption Towers (used for absorbing impurities from gas streams i.e. CO2 removal in ammonia production).
