Alle kjølere ser like fin ut...all the coolers look just as nice

One year ago, the first set of box coolers had been cleaned, grit blasted and re-coated using SÄKAPHEN’s revolutionary two-pack coating system SÄKATONIT Extra AR-F, applied at the NEWDOCK Shipyard in Newfoundland, Canada. The scope Included dismantling, cleaning of the coolers to remove barnacles and other sea life adhering to them, light grit blasting to remove loose particles of the old coating and a complete re-coating of the coolers with SÄKATONIT Extra AR-F.

Now - one year later having sailed several thousand miles in various waters, the vessels has been in drydock in Las Palmas of the Canary Islands for numerous inspections. Since the vessel was in drydock it was an excellent opportunity to view the performance of the coating after thousands of miles of sailing.

The result was phenomenal: neither the Marine Growth Prevention System (MGPS), an Impressed Current Anti Fouling (ICAF) System, nor erosion have had any negative effect on the coating - “... alle kjølere ser like fin ut ...”!
